The availability of numerous Bible translations is advantageous for in-depth study of the Word. The Young Literal Translation, or YLT, provides unique features that make it a valuable research tool. It is known for its strict adherence to the verb tense used in the original Greek and Hebrew texts, specifically utilizing present tense where other translations use past tense.

The YLT was created by Robert Young and originally published in 1872. A revised edition was released in 1887, followed by a new Revised Edition in 1898. Each edition maintained the same translation principles. Robert Young was also the compiler of "Young's Analytical Concordance and Concise Critical Comments on the New Testament."
