The availability of numerous Bible translations is advantageous for in-depth study of the Word. The Young Literal Translation, or YLT, provides unique features that make it a valuable research tool. The YLT was created by Robert Young and originally published in 1872. A revised edition was released in 1887, followed by a new Revised Edition in 1898. Each edition maintained the same translation principles. Robert Young was also the compiler of "Young's Analytical Concordance and Concise Critical Comments on the New Testament."
